From Software Unveils Multiplayer-Focused Switch 2 Exclusive Soulslike ‘The Duskbloods’ [Trailer]

Elden Ring Tarnished Edition wasn’t the only title From Software unveiled yesterday for the Switch 2. The developer also announced The Duskbloods, a multiplayer action game directed by Bloodborne director Hidetaka Miyazaki, and coming exclusively to the Switch 2 in 2026.

Not much is known about The Duskbloods, which appears to bear similarities to Bloodborne, as well as From Software’s upcoming Elden Ring Nightreign. The game is described as a PvPvE title with “online multiplayer at its core,” with up to eight players battling amongst themselves until one is left standing. Players take on the role as a member of the “Bloodsworn,” a group that has “gone beyond humanity” thanks to special blood. Their goal is to become the “First Blood.”

As mentioned, there’s plenty for Bloodborne fans to speculate as to if this is truly the sequel they’ve been waiting for since the Soulslike arrived on the PlayStation 4 back in 2015. Judging from the trailer, there’s a Gothic Victorian aesthetic with some Steampunk thrown in. You’ve also got plenty of huge monsters (with huge weapons) for you to battle. Plus, there appears to be a jetpack!

There also appears to be a mechanic where you bite a foe and gain power from them, but that’s speculation at this point. Still, it would go along with the idea of “special blood” each Bloodsworn possesses.

Meanwhile, From Software is currently working towards the release of Elden Ring Nightreign, which launches on May 30.
