The original Black Butler manga by Yana Toboso began in 2006 in Square Enix's G Monthly GFantasy manga magazine, with 34 volumes released in Japan to date. An English language version is also available from Yen Press. Kenjiro Okada ( March comes in like a lion chief director) continues to direct for the latest Black Butler anime at studio CloverWorks, with series composition by Hiroyuki Yoshino ( World Trigger ), character designs by Yumi Shimizu ( Horimiya chief animation director). Maaya Sakamoto and Daisuke Ono reprise their roles as Ciel Phantomhive and Sebastian Michaelis, respectively.
