Ma activates his special ability, growing in size, and the S-Rank battle begins. It’s strength against strength and speed against speed as the hunters throw their first punches. Cha counterattacks a sneak attack from Kumamoto by reflex, injuring him. Kumamoto’s special ability activates and he flies into a berserk rage. He attacks her without holding back, and Jinwoo can’t resist jumping in to block his kick. Jinwoo puts Kumamoto in an arm lock. Round Two Goto Ryuji is intrigued by Jinwoo, especially considering he’s supposedly a mage-type hunter. Cha and Baek both admit defeat. Goto asks Jinwoo if he’d like to spar, and the newest S-Rank hunter agrees with one condition: no holding back. Meanwhile, a news report updates the populace on the upcoming raid on Jeju Island. Joohee, a B-Rank healer who was friends with Jinwoo in his E-Rank days , watches thoughtfully. She calls her guild to ask about the raid. Baek wonders if Jinwoo really is growing in power and watches with interest. Jinwoo starts to tell Goto they should begin when the Japanese hunter strikes without waiting. Jinwoo dodges, and the fight is on! Goto immediately recognizes that Jinwoo isn’t a typical mage-type hunter. Evasion Jinwoo observes that Goto is fast and powerful, even for an S-Rank, and smiles at the challenge. The other hunters watch as he dodges every punch, which starts to wear on Goto’s nerves — so now he means business. He manages to land a scratch on Jinwoo’s cheek just before he catches Goto’s hand in mid-strike. He could have caught his wrist to end the match, but Jinwoo’s having too much fun. The two prepare to unleash their full power… and the other hunters step in to physically hold them back. Their fight ends. Jinwoo, who measured the hunters’ skills while they fought, took the opportunity to send his soldiers into their shadows to keep an eye on them. He feels uncomfortable giving his answer on the upcoming Jeju Island raid and declines the opportunity. Preparations Cha notices Jinwoo’s name missing from the raid roster, but Choi Jong-in feels that 15 S-Rank hunters on the raid should be all the firepower they need. Jinwoo arrives home and finds a home-cooked meal from his mother waiting for him. He wants to help her so soon after she’s recovered, he thinks, so he’s not going to Jeju Island. Meanwhile, on the island, the ant queen notices that her brood are feeding on themselves. They’ll need to relocate soon for more space and food. A highly evolved, humanoid ant bursts free from its egg and the queen thinks it could be the one to lead them. Retired S-Rank healer Min Byung-gu is deep in thought, and E-Rank hunter Han Song-yi wants to join Korea’s defense force. Joohee meets with Jinwoo’s other old friend, Song Chi-yul. The Raid Begins A fleet of ships surrounds the island in a perimeter. Hunters wait on the decks to keep any stray ants from reaching the mainland. On his ship, Ma wishes his vice guild master well while Lee Minsung poses for pictures on another. Elsewhere, Captain Son Kihoon and his team stand at the ready, as does Park Heejin from the Red Gate, Song and Joohee. And to Baek’s surprise, Min Byung-gu is going to the island as well. It’s an incredible team effort from the hunters of Korea, and it’s finally time. The raid is a go. A swarm of ants immediately responds and goes after Korea’s team on the helicopter as well, but Choi makes quick work of them and the team lands safely. They only have about an hour to find the queen while the ants are distracted. Elsewhere, Jinwoo gets his daily training in. He thinks about the raid, but assumes that the S-Ranks will be fine handling it without him. Back in the ants’ nest, the hunters find the cache of eggs, including the giant one that hatched. Byung-gu is understandably shaken by the size of it. The Japanese hunters are holding their own, although one ant manages to land a solid hit on Kenzo. He asks their healer Shimizu to patch him up and she teases him as she stands up. Suddenly, she goes silent – as her head disintegrates. Glowing red eyes fall upon the other hunters….
