Korean S-Rank hunters Baek Yoonho, Ma Dongwook, Lim Tae-Gyu and Choi Jong-in stare in shock at the mysterious shadow soldiers holding back the magic ant army. The hunters are tired, heavily wounded, and have no idea where the soldiers came from. Igris , Tusk , Tank and Iron take out a number of ants as they join the fray. The hunters gasp as one more figure walks forward from the shadows: Sung Jinwoo. Inside the lair, the cameraman fumbles with his camera to try to get it working again. Iron taunts the ants to focus on him, and Jinwoo gives his army the order to attack. Clearing a Path The S-Rank hunters can only watch as Jinwoo’s elite soldiers strike down magic ants. Jinwoo promises Baek he’ll explain everything later and summons potions to treat their wounds. But when he tries to use one on the mortally wounded Cha Hae-in, a system message informs Jinwoo that her health is too low for it to work. He recognizes the urgency and changes his focus to getting her to medical help as quickly as possible, but the swarm of ants just keeps growing in number. Chairman Go sits down in frustration, resenting his aged and battered body preventing him from being on Jeju Island himself. As for Japan’s hunters, their chairman is highly annoyed that Goto Ryuji got himself killed by the black ant. In the ant’s lair, Jinwoo’s shadow soldiers continue clearing out the tunnel so the hunters can make their escape. But they’re going too slow, so Jinwoo addresses the small crowd of hunters, asking them to keep what they’re about to see secret. It’s Back Suddenly, Jinwoo senses a powerful presence as the black ant emerges from the tunnel ahead. The other hunters see it, and Baek is filled with dread that Goto is likely dead. There was no king outside, the black ant laments, and asks if there’s one in the lair. Jinwoo steps forward. It asks him if he’s the king of humans, but instead of being afraid, Jinwoo smiles and mockingly remarks that it’s a talking bug. Just then, the camera starts working again, and the feed begins broadcasting live across Korea. Jinwoo’s acquaintances and friends recognize him, including his shocked sister, Jinah. It lands a fast punch to the human’s face, and the hunters fear that’s it for Jinwoo – but of course it isn’t! He takes the hit like a champ and returns his own uppercut to the surprised black ant. “Is he really a mage?” Ma asks in disbelief. Game On In an explosive flow of magic power, Jinwoo and the black ant exchange literal earth-shattering blows. As a strong punch knocks the black ant back, it counterattacks with a poison-laced slice with its tongue to Jinwoo’s face. He falls to one knee. Assuming that Jinwoo is paralyzed, the black ant raises an arm to deliver the fatal strike. At the same time, the Japanese chairman recalls their three surviving S-Rank hunters, scheming to salvage the raid by sending them into the nest. His resistance to toxins kicked in, so he’s back on his feet. He senses the black ant’s anxiety, which matches his own – he needs to get help for Cha quickly. The black ant evolves again into an even deadlier form, and it’s game on. Running Out of Options Jinwoo summons his daggers and their fight begins again. They clash in electric bursts of red and blue energy as they move faster than the eye can see, striking blades against claws as their battle intensifies. The stone walls crumble around them, but their fight to the death doesn’t slow down. As the black ant’s claws extend millimeters close to Jinwoo’s eye, he activates his Mutilation skill. He dices the black ant into pieces, but it regenerates its lost limbs and attempts to flee. Jinwoo won’t allow it. It tries to run away again, but Jinwoo ends the fight – and its life – in a flurry of daggers. The remaining magic ants scatter. But the hunters’ sense of victory is short-lived as Cha’s condition worsens. Jinwoo tries giving her a priceless Elixir of Life, but even that can’t help the dying hunter.
