ESDIP GAMES is looking to scratch that vampire-slaying itch with their upcoming FPS Everdark: Undead Apocalypse. Inspired by horror and B-movies from the ’80s, and mixed with the fast-paced action of classics like Unreal and Doom, Everdark is available to wishlist now on Steam and the PlayStation Store for a release later this year.
Upon returning from a visit to your cousin in Milwaukee, you’re forced to take a detour that leads you to Everdark. If that wasn’t ominous enough, you end up in a car accident that leaves you stranded with no way to call for help or continue home. Obviously, you soon realize that you’re not alone—bloodthirsty vampires have turned the streets of Everdark into their private hunting grounds, and the few remaining survivors are still fighting to resist.
If the inspirations weren’t enough to pique your interest, Everdark also veers into the Survival Horror realm, where you’ll be forced to scrounge for weapons ranging from stakes and holy water to firearms and melee weapons. Ammo is limited, so you’ll need to make your shots count. As just as a reminder, you’re dealing with vampires, so the only way to put them down for good is with a stake through the heart.
And if you happen to be in Spain later this month, you can check out Everdark: Undead Apocalypse at IFEMA Madrid from March 26 to 30. Attendees will have the chance to play the game for the first time, face its vampiric scourge, and win exclusive prizes.
